“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” - Mark Twain
  • Note: I haven't got a chance to update this blog quite for a while. Recently I have started organizing things. Hopefully will update the "coming soon" pages of the blog soon :)
  • About me...

I am perfectly imperfect, beautiful in my flaws, sure of my insecurities, in short - an absolute chaos... a beautiful disaster...

I was a member of Himalayan Mountaineers' Association, Behala, Calcutta, India, and University of Western Ontario climbing club. One of the long term goals of my life is to be a mountaineer. I love to travel, I am an avid traveller who hates travelling with fixed plans & having intention of arriving shortly... :)

I am a regular swimmer. I enjoy swimming, no matter which season it is, even in snowy winter (well, I swim in a pool, not outside :P). I believe that swimming is a great stress reliever, apart from it's amazing physical benefits. I prefer swimming bilateral free style. The University has an awesome Olympic size pool & I am a regular guy there. These days I am swimming 2000 meters regularly in the weekdays. In combination with swimming, I am a regular runner too and covering 6-7 Km distance these days. Most of the times I run following a nice trail beside a nice river (when it's not winter, otherwise I run on trade mill). However, I am not a sprinter in either running or swimming, rather I'm a long distance guy.

We are a little family. My great father is a retired school teacher and my super amazing mother is a house wife. They are my biggest strength, & at the same time are also my biggest weakness...

I want to be a successful mountaineer some day & want to explore the wild beauty of nature. Another intention is to see every corner of the world. Of course I have my career goals, but I want mountain & travelling to occupy rest of my life...

I like meeting new people, especially from different countries & cultures. I have been fortunate enough to know a lot of people from different countries in the world after I have started my journey in abroad. It's been a nice experience & pleasure. Well, you can tell me that I am not that kind of "social" person as I avoid going to public events, but I am not an "antisocial" of course! :P

I believe that life is not a destination, it's a journey. Do something that usual people can never think! Climb the mountains, go to virgin forests, explore the wild, do cave diving, just get crazy! Life is too short for not being crazy. Dying in an avalanche on a mountain is way better than dying in the hospital bed after suffering over months! Life should not be long & meaningless, rather it should be short & great...
