Digha & Talsari...

Prelude
This  was a short trip with my parents to Digha-Talsari-Udaypur in West Bengal & Orissa, India. I am sharing the experience mainly as a 'photo blog', without much description...

Digha is a place at Midnapore district in WB, India. It is one of the popular tourist destinations in West Bengal. For a short holiday, it's an ideal place to stay for a few days. It's very easy to reach Digha. There are frequent buses from Calcutta. Also, recently train services have started. Two trains run everyday: at 6.30AM and at 2.30PM from Howrah station. It takes about 5 hours by bus & 3.5 hours by train to reach Digha.

However, to reach Talsari from Digha is not a big deal. Regular buses are available to go upto border, from where there are shared jeeps available which go via Chandaneswar. Otherwise it will take about half an hour by cab from Digha (costs about Rs.300/400, according to rates in 2012).
